’If he successfully fused with the Forging Pathway, that would have made him a five-star celestial and put him on par with Heavenly Eye but stronger. But his five pathways would all be Grand Daos, so that he would be much stronger than her.’

’These Dao Lords are not to be trusted,’ he thought, sighing and shaking his head.

The way Dao Lords hid their capabilities from each other like thieves saddened him deeply. But when he remembered how he had unearthed Tepid Scholar’s secret, he cheered up once more.

’To think I can combine the Devouring Supreme Metac and the Seal of Death Supreme Metac, the Spark of Power is truly wonderful,’ he thought in awe.

’So even though I can’t use any Supreme Metac aside from the 4-D prototype Spark of Power directly, it is still incredibly useful. To think its potential had been wasting away for so long.’

It wasn’t that long ago that he created the 4-D prototype and first became a Dao Lord. It was less than a year ago, so he hadn’t lost much.

This was a question he had to take seriously now that he had confirmed that he could combine the power of Supreme Metacs. He felt he needed to pick abilities that would complement each other.

He hadn’t thought he would have to factor in Supreme Metac compatibility before, because he could use any Supreme Metac without worrying about compatibility between the pathways. Plus, he had the free-moving divinity from the 4-D prototype and could use it to enhance any part of his existence.

Other Dao Lords were not so lucky. They had to consider compatibility between their Supreme Metacs. They also had to pay attention to what part of their existence their Supreme Metacs used for power.

Harem King is a classic example of compatibility. Her only Grand Dao was the Emotions Supreme Metac. Then she paired the Emotion Supreme Metac with Anger Supreme Metac, Joy Supreme Metac, etc.

The best part of the combination was that all of her Supreme Metacs used her Divine Spirit for power. So if she put most of her divinity into her Divine Spirit, she would be serving multiple Supreme Metacs at once.

Loki didn’t have to worry about any of this until he could now combine Supreme Metacs. In that attack, he had used the Seal of Death’s ability to make long-range attacks with the Devouring Supreme Metac’s ability to devour things.

If he had used the Seal of Death alone, he would have only managed to kill his targets at best. Their Supreme Metacs would be left behind at the scene of their death. Plus, the attack would be weaker.

Alone, the Seal of Death could produce power of Rank(10) × Divine Spirit(1,785 + 14) × Divine Ability(9^3 × 1%) × Domain(129.6 sqkm) × 30(Authority), which was 509,899,924.8 units of celestial power.

But together with the Devouring Supreme Metac, the power output became Rank(10) × Divine Spirit(1,785 + 14) × Divine Ability((9^3 × 1%)+(9^3 × 3 × 10%)) × Domain(129.6 sqkm) × 30(Authority), which was 15,806,896,688.8 units of celestial power.

From 510 million to 15.8 billion, it is a 30-fold increase in power. To be fair, even if he had attacked with only the Seal of Death, he would have killed them because the strongest among the five was Heavenly Eye, and her maximum power output under the suppression of his Divine Spark was 270 million.

So he had enough Domain Power and Authority to ensure the Seal of Death could seal the deal on its own. But if the spark of power could combine them, this combination potential was why he specifically created the Seal of Death for his second pathway.

He could have used the original Death Supreme Metac he got from Black Chain. The original Death Supreme Metac came with the Death Proclamation Main Divine Ability and could also be combined with the Devouring Divine Ability.

But the Death Proclamation Divine Ability was a short-range curse. It needed the target to be nearby and within reach of his Divine Spirit. So if he had combined the Devouring Divine Ability with it, the result would have been a very powerful, but short-ranged attack.

In light of this, he had to carefully consider what his third Supreme Metac would be. For now, the choice was between the Destruction Dao and the Knowledge Dao.
