She had five activated godheads, but only four Supreme Metacs left the wreckage of her body after she initiated suicide. Only the Truth Supreme Metac, Illusion Supreme Metac, Perception Supreme Metac, and Deceit Supreme Metac left her true body. The Seer Supreme Metac was sacrificed to allow her to make her getaway.

Scattering their godheads was something every Dao Lord could do in times of danger. It was the main reason Dao Lords were hard to kill permanently. It was also what Heavenly Eye meant when she mentioned having nine lives.

Unless a barrier or force field prevented their Supreme Metacs from escaping, every Dao Lord would choose to scatter their Supreme Metacs for a chance at life.

The price they have to pay for this privilege is that they will lose one godhead permanently. Even if they reincarnated and returned to their position as Dao Lords in the future, they cannot recover the lost godhead. So their maximum number of pathways would fall by one with each narrow escape from death.

She sacrificed one godhead to escape while the black force field jumped onto the Supreme Metac she left behind. As for the Soul Supreme Metac, which was the source of this problem, it was also devoured by the black force field.

As she escaped, her heart was cold with fear. If she were mortal, she would be shivering or frozen stiff from how deep the fear and cold ran. But she was a Dao Lord, so she could maintain her faculties and do what was needed to escape.

’He set up a smokescreen and successfully distracted me from the danger. What a scheming bastard.’

’He ruined me, and I will pay him back a hundredfold,’ she thought, screaming in anger as her godheads fell into the lower realms.

She thought her situation was bad. Unfortunately for other Dao Lords who bought a Supreme Metac from Loki after he tampered with those Supreme Metacs with the Seal of Death, they were not so lucky.

Tepid Scholar sensed danger and was able to do something about it. But instead of escaping, he decided to resist.

He activated the Main Divine Ability of the Formation Supreme Metac, the Domain Rules Divine Ability, and said, "No attacks are allowed within me."

Law fragments heeded his instruction and arrayed into lines of formation throughout his inner world. Their sole function was to block and kill every attack that appeared in the inner space.

But the black force field didn’t stop. It tore through the lines of formation, devouring them, and kept spreading like erupting lava, covering everything like tar.

Apparently, he had underestimated the attack’s power. His perception of danger wasn’t as acute as Heavenly Eye’s, so he didn’t realize he couldn’t block it until it was too late.

When he realized the danger, the situation had gone from bad to worse. The black force field had covered the Pill Refinement Supreme Metac and the Talisman Supreme Metac, taking them from him. He only had two godheads left to use.

"Damn it," he roared unwillingly as he committed suicide.

He had four activated godheads in his inner space. The black force field managed to cover three of them before Tepid Scholar successfully committed suicide.

What escaped from his true body was his favorite Supreme Metac: the Formation Supreme Metac. As for the Farming Supreme Metac, he chose to sacrifice it because it had no foundation or Domain in the lower realms.

As for Black Chain, Sword Maestro, and Harem King, they were not so lucky. The black force field erupted within their true bodies, appeared on their true bodies, and sealed them in a black cocoon before they could commit suicide. So the three of them were killed completely.

Of the six Dao Lords who shared the Blessed Heaven World with Loki, five were attacked, and none could block it. Only Martial Will wasn’t attacked.

On Loki’s side, three new Supreme Metacs had appeared within his inner space. The three were the Seer Supreme Metac, the Pill Refinement Supreme Metac, and the Talisman Supreme Metac.

As he examined the three of them, he shook his head and thought, ’Heavenly Eye and Tepid Scholar are truly too difficult to kill.’

’The two of them escaped in the previous timeline too. I managed to make them lose a layer of skin this time. So even if they return, they will never be the same again,’ he thought, chuckling inwardly.

He wanted to laugh out loud, but he had to maintain the facade that their attacks had nothing to do with him, so he kept his face straight as he rushed around in a black sphere around his body.

Actually, he got more than these three Supreme Metacs from them. He got the Anger Supreme Metac, Joy Supreme Metac, and Sadness Supreme Metac that Heavenly Eye was hiding within her. He also got the Mind Hunter Supreme Metac and Money Supreme Metac that she had just bought earlier, but didn’t have time to use.

From Tepid Scholar, he got the Farmer Supreme Metac, Farming Supreme Metac, Forging Supreme Metac, and Death Supreme Metac. Tepid Scholar sold him the Farmer Supreme Metac a long time ago.

As for the other two, Tepid Scholar bought them from his auction in this timeline. Lastly, the Farming Supreme Metac was the secret Tepid Scholar was hiding from the world.

Those were just the ones he got from Heavenly Eye and Tepid Scholar. He got even more from Black Chain, Sword Maestro, and Harem King too.

All in all, he got 18 Supreme Metacs from the five of them. But of the 18 Supreme Metacs, only three were new and useful to him.
