With the threat looming in the skies, the people of Reborn began to panic. Although they were confident of the Rebornian defenses, they were still terrified to see a literal sea of soldiers coming from a distance. They blocked the sands of the Parched Lands, making their threat even bigger.

"Kyaaa!"

"Save us!"

"Don’t let us become doomed!"

It was at this point that a giant shadow loomed over the Nation of Reborn. It gave the panicking citizens a brief respite from the blazing sun.

"Worry not, dear citizens. For I have arrived!"

A giant red dragon appeared in the skies, flying over the skyscrapers of Reborn before landing on top of the tallest building.

He was the spitting image of the character he played in that movie that they produced.

"It’s the Dragon King!"

"He’s going to save us!"

"Breathe fire for us!"

Zion loved the attention showered towards him by the Nation of Reborn. It made him feel truly loved and appreciated.

"Yes, yes! I will save you all!"

But it was at this point that Kong, the Yellow Mankey Chief Engineer of the Rebornian company, shouted at him from the bottom of the streets.

"Sir Zion!" Kong shouted. "What are you doing?!"

"What am I doing? I’m saving Reborn, that’s what!"

Kong may not know a lot about fighting, but he knew that Zion truly wasn’t the right person to save Reborn. He didn’t have the proper skills to do so!

He knew that they would need someone like Jaku or Sheina or even Umisu to defeat those three people up above.

As the Chief Engineer of Reborn, Kong knew everything there was to know about Reborn’s buildings. He knew its strengths, its weaknesses, everything.

So, when he saw the skyscrapers wobbling just from the mere presence of these three individuals hovering up in the skies, he knew that no one would be able to stop them when they attacked. Especially not Zion, who spent most of his time signing signatures rather than training.

He immediately sent a ’mayday’ message to the group chat of Reborn, asking for help.

{Reborn is getting attacked! Can anybody respond?!}

However, there was no one who could talk to him. Everyone was busy with their own thing.

It was at this point that one of the generals from up above looked down at the red dragon.

"A draconian?" the old witch asked. "Is it possible that the Reborn company has an alliance with the Draconian species?"

"Not possible," said the old geezer with a white beard. "Those prideful Draconians would never stoop so low as to interfere in the matters of humans."

"But what about this red dragon?" asked the 2nd ranked general, a young teen. "He looks like a Draconian."

"He merely looks like one," said the 1st ranked general, stroking his white beard. "He... is of a different species. Interesting. I haven’t seen something like this before."

"Should we be worried?" asked the 3rd ranked general, fixing her witch’s hat.

But the 1st ranked general laughed. "No. no need to be worried. In fact, you do not even need to pay him any attention. The young red dragon is not even a cultivator! In terms of human equivalent, he is not even a 1st stage Body Formation cultivator."

His words rang true. Before Zion evolved, he was barely a step into the Body Formation realm.

And when he turned into this Red Dragon form, his body became filled with potential. However, he was weak. Only his scales, which like Draconians, were equivalent to Nascent Armor. However, there was nothing special about him after that. No other strength.

"YOU! YOU TAKE THAT BACK!" Zion screamed. "I am strong! Stronger than you, definitely!"

"Hahahaha," the 1st ranked general chuckled. "How annoyingly pitiful. My young protege. If you want, I can give you a free training lesson. Why not sharpen your skills with this young dragon?"

The 2nd ranked general smiled. "Really?!"

The old witch next to them was a little bit more hesitant. "I do not think it is a wise decision. Worcester told us to destroy the Reborn company as soon as possible."

The old man shook his head. "Tsh. Have you seen this nation? They are weak. It’ll be easy to destroy them. It would only require me to use a single finger.

But you know me. I am not a wasteful individual. This is the best opportunity for our young protege to learn a bit of warfare. So, why not give him the opportunity to do so?"

The witch no longer said anything. The old man was the 1st ranked general for a reason.

Meanwhile, the 2nd ranked general swooped down into the Nation of Reborn with youthful vigor.

He floated right next to the Red Dragon of Reborn.

"Nice to meetcha!" said the 2nd ranked general.

"Nice to meet you too!"

"I’m going to kill you now."

With overwhelming power and speed, the young teenager surged towards Zion. With his Nascent Armor empowering his entire body, his speed surpassed even that of reality itself!

Zion felt a punch towards his body, before he hurtled backwards. The skyscraper he stood on became destroyed in the process.

And as Zion flew backwards, he destroyed more buildings in the process.

"NOOOO!" Kong shouted. "Our buildings!!!!"

Meanwhile, Zion slowly got his consciousness back as he flew through the air.

Right on top of him, the young 2nd ranked general sped up at the same speed above him. "Hmmm? Is this really all that you can do?"

Zion frowned, his draconic nostrils flaring. "YOU.... RAGGHHH!"

Suddenly, Zion released a powerful bellow, a scream so loud that it reverberated throughout the entirety of the Nation of Reborn.

And this shout was laced with some kind of power. A power that was not seen in this world for so long.

An Ancient Roar.

This ancient roar reverberated out and reached the young 2nd ranked general, making him stagger for a brief second.

It was at this moment that the Nascent Armor in his body began to melt, leaving him utterly defenseless.
