“Reached the intermediate stage?”

Tonight, the moonlight in the Sanctuary was particularly bright. Lamias suddenly felt a mysterious impulse, and then declined Sister Suya’s visit. After night fell, she returned to her room directly to practice the Meditation Training Technique.

Lamias didn’t know whether this was because she was particularly suited to cultivating the Training Technique or due to the special nature of this Battlefield of the Gods.

Clearly, it would normally take at least three years to complete the ultimate stage, but she completed it on the third day after arriving at the Sanctuary… counting the time on the road, the intermediate stage cultivation was even faster than the beginner stage.

Judging from the explanation of the Training Technique on the Amethyst inheritance, the beginner stage was merely laying a foundation, planting the Power Seed in the Mind, while the intermediate stage involved awakening the Power Seed—upon reaching the advanced stage, the seed would sprout, greatly improving communication with the Cloak of Sanctity.

Even if successful communication was ultimately not achieved, the Power Seed would awaken and sprout, and humans would begin unlocking the body’s Little Universe treasure vault. If cultivation was continuously deepened, there could even be a chance to awaken the Sixth Sense, the Seventh Sense.

“What are the characteristics of my Power Seed…”

Lamias furrowed her brow. She vaguely sensed that something seemed to be injected into her Mind and was gradually growing—but currently, aside from feeling mentally better, there was no particularly marked growth.

Her physical strength seemed slightly improved too—but purely due to the Age of Gods air, food, and even the ubiquitous peculiar power in the air.

Considering the time, she had been in this era for nearly twenty days… could her body be starting to assimilate with this place?

“Hm… can’t sleep.”

Having just completed cultivation with new breakthroughs, Lamias felt unexpectedly energized. With nothing else to do, she planned to take a good walk around this Sanctuary.

Many places were forbidden to tread… but the range of areas where activities were permitted was actually not small.

Since she had to find someone, Lamias certainly couldn’t wait for that unknown person to bump into her head.

Only by taking the initiative could there be a greater possibility of success—even if her current actions weren’t much different from a blind fly buzzing around.

…

Lamias had toured the city where the Goddess Temple of her own time was located.

But the Sanctuary before her now had many differences compared to the temple she had once toured—the most dazzling of all being the twelve Zodiac Temples.

Even at night, the brilliance emanating from the Twelve Temples illuminated large parts of the Sanctuary—some savings on lamp oil and the like.

She hardly saw any figures on the road, except for those patrolling soldiers. Lamias encountered several patrol soldiers along the road, but after verifying her identity, they allowed her to pass.

Some places she had walked through briefly during the daytime in the few days since arriving at the Sanctuary, and others not at all.

Lamias felt nothing special along the way, thinking it would be a night with no progress. Just as she was about to return, she stopped in front of a building.

Here, she felt a special sensation… a very special one. Lamias couldn’t describe it clearly, nor did she know if it was the feeling she was supposed to find—the feeling she ought to find. Gazing at the building before her, she couldn’t help but become somewhat entranced.

Yet in front of the building, there were obviously soldiers guarding, indicating a place prohibited from casual entry.

“Who are you? This is where Lord Maya’s remains are placed, and idlers are not permitted inside!” A guard approached, scolding in a low voice.

Remains placed?

Lamias was startled inside. During wartime, warriors’ remains on the battlefield were generally cremated directly… often buried in the battlefield. If transported back and temporarily placed in the Sanctuary, could it be the remains of some important figure?

Yet she felt an urge to go inside.

“Sorry, I am a female warrior participating in the selection for inheriting the Cloak of Sanctity this time.” Lamias had a thought: “I’ve heard of Lord Maya’s heroic deeds, so I wish to pay my respects… after all, the opportunity to pay my respects may only exist during this time frame.”

The guards exchanged glances, then shook their heads, saying, “You have the heart, but viewing is not permitted now. Since you’re here to join the qualification battle, return and rest well; the qualification battle is about to begin. Wish you success, contributing your strength for the goddess.”

“Can’t you make an exception?” Lamias persisted, saying: “I merely ask to take a look… perhaps you can supervise me. I swear, I won’t damage anything inside; just one glance is all I ask.”

“Please return!” The guard raised his voice slightly, “If you truly wish to visit, come back when you’ve inherited the Cloak of Sanctity and become a Silver Saint of Cranes Constellation, and we shall warmly welcome you.”

“Farewell!”

Lamias left the area without turning back, but after moving beyond the guards’ line of sight, she circled around to the building’s back… where there was likewise another batch of guards.

Indeed, multiple entrances to the building were guarded, so normal entry seemed unlikely.

Lamias tried to make some noise at the back entrance, but only one guard came out to check… while several others remained at their posts.

She had no choice but to truly leave.

But at this moment, a man dressed in white quietly appeared behind Lamias… her first feeling was of terror!

Especially now, having cultivated the Training Technique, her senses were increasingly keen; at present, her heart pounded wildly.

The man in white was taller than Lamias by a full head, but was not of the muscular type… the man examined Lamias expressionlessly, giving her a sense of being seen through entirely.

“Second Stage’s seed,” the man suddenly spoke, “So, you’re a candidate for this Cranes Constellation’s Cloak of Sanctity qualification battle?”

“Yes… Lord,” Lamias quickly lowered her head—this man was quite terrifying; just a glance was enough for him to know she had cultivated the Training Technique, even directly perceiving her progress?

“What’s your name?”

“Lami,” Lamias hurriedly replied, “I’m from the Pegasus Camp on the frontline battlefield.”

“Hmm…” The man nodded slightly, “Not from the Sanctuary, nor a member of royalty, but to have come this far means you’ve worked hard enough. Yet to qualify from the qualification battle, a Second Stage seed won’t suffice; at least a Third Stage seed awakening is required for a sliver of opportunity.”

Third Stage?

Lamias furrowed her brow… she felt even the Third Stage might not be terribly difficult—yet the qualification battle was fast approaching, leaving her with insufficient time.

“You want to go inside?” The man in white spoke again.

Lamias felt a stir in her heart, quickly nodding, “Yes, I’ve heard of Lord Maya’s deeds, so I wish to go in and pay my respects.”

“Pay respects…” The man in white revealed a peculiar expression, then shook his head before walking directly in front of Lamias, “If you want to go in, follow me.”

Lamias couldn’t help but widen her eyes as she watched the man in white walk straight to the entrance. When the guards saw him, they hurriedly kneeled, seemingly about to speak, but were silenced by a wave of his hand.

Thereafter, the man in white turned, beckoning Lamias to follow him quickly.

It seems I’ve bumped into an extraordinary figure… Lamias bit her lip and briskly walked to the side of the man in white. The guards at the gate still bowed their heads and knelt, showing no intention of obstruction.

The man in white said nothing, directly ascended the steps, and walked inside.

Lamias took a deep breath and followed swiftly… On the way, the man in white did not stop nor speak to Lamias, until he finally halted.

In a vacant room deep within the building, there were white flowers and a stone platform… On the stone platform, a tall female lay quietly, her face adorned with a silver white mask.

The man in white stood silently beside the stone platform, gazing at the woman on the platform, remaining speechless for quite a while.

Momentarily entranced, Lamias felt an increasingly strong special feeling in her heart, yet it did not seem like the feeling she was searching for.

“Weren’t you here to pay your respects to her? Why are you standing there?” The man in white glanced back casually.

Lamias jolted, stepped past the flowers, arrived beside the man in white, and attentively gazed at the woman on the stone platform.

There were no signs of breath, yet the body was preserved as if alive. Perhaps the stone platform had other functions, but the mask obscured the woman’s features.

“Maya, she exhausted all her potential during the battle and ultimately fell.” The man in white spoke slowly, “Her sacrifice granted the Allied Forces a significant victory. But at the same time, we lost a Silver Saint Fighter.”

A Silver Saint Fighter?

Could this be the Swan Constellation’s Cloak…? Lamias was shocked, instinctively raising her head to look at the man in white, her mouth slightly opening in surprise.

“What, you claimed you wanted to pay your respects, yet didn’t know.” The man in white gazed at Lamias, eyes narrowed.

This made Lamias tense like a startled animal, her hair standing on end. She quickly lowered her head, “I… I was just too stunned, lamenting Maya’s sacrifice.”

“If Maya hadn’t sacrificed herself, you wouldn’t be here today.” The man in white continued, “And like you, those female warriors from afar… Perhaps, secretly, you rejoice, for you’ve been given an opportunity.”

——To say it so directly, is it really okay?

Lamias remained silent, the air suddenly grew quiet… Something needed to be said to ease the atmosphere. Her mind raced, quickly stating, “Why does Lady Maya still wear a mask?”

This might be an impolite question but could break the current tension.

“Female Saint Fighters aren’t permitted to show their true faces.” The man in white glanced at Lamias, “From the moment they become Saint Fighters, women don a mask, which stays with them for life. If removed and seen by a man, they must either kill him or fall in love with him; are you not aware of this?”

——I know!

——Uncle Kurumada wrote it like this too!

——But how was I supposed to know it’s the same here!

Lamias forced a smile and quickly said, “Thank you, sir, for allowing me to pay respects to Lady Maya’s remains… You’ve fulfilled this small wish of mine, and I’m content.”

“Let me escort you out.” The man in white slightly smiled.

This somewhat surprised Lamias… He seemed to have grasped all her thoughts—she followed heavily behind the man in white but frequently looked back.

A strong feeling of reluctance surged within Lamias, prompting her to want to linger here—she realized it was due to the Power Seed within her!

Originally just a quickly growing healthy Power Seed, it suddenly became extremely active.

The man in white paused before the exit.

Lamias looked at him in surprise.

The man in white turned, directly gazing at Lamias, his eyes suddenly bursting with an unusual light, “With a Second Stage Power Seed, aiming for good results in the qualification battle is too ambitious. Open your mind, I’ll help awaken your Power Seed to the Third Stage.”

“What?!”

“Now is the Battlefield of the Gods, even a slight power advancement for human warriors is beneficial… May you treat this power well.”

Lamias looked at the man in white incredulously… But the accompanying intense dizziness quickly plunged her mind into blankness.

It seemed as if her Soul was expelled from her body, then she soared through the Star River, witnessing the infinite splendor of the universe.

Uncertain of how much time had passed, Lamias gradually came back to her senses… She exhaled a long breath, compared to the contents of the Training Technique, discovering she had astonishingly reached the Third Stage.

The Power Seed had awakened, unlocking the body’s hidden Treasure Vault.

Her vision, hearing, smell, even the sixth sense seemed to have greatly enhanced… A peculiar force lurked within her body, ready to unleash strong power at any time.

Fighting Spirit… A unique power wielded by Sanctuary Fighters that activates and releases human potential.

“You finally woke up.”

The speaker before her was evidently not the man in white, but a guard outside… Lamias vaguely remembered—outside, it was already daylight, and unconsciously, she feared she had passed an entire night.

“Lord Musa asked me to tell you, once you awaken, you’re free to leave.” The guard spoke kindly.

“Lord Musa?” Lamias was stunned… Musa, the name of that man in white?

“Indeed.” The guard nodded, “Lord Musa, the Gold Saint Fighter’s leader, of the Virgo Temple… You’re truly fortunate, to have received Lord Musa’s assistance.”

Lamias’ eyes widened.

Why does this script unfold like a female-norm Mary Sue novel??

Lamias couldn’t help but sense an arranged feeling… But who could arrange it for her?

The one who sent her here?

This place… is separated by an unfathomable span of time and space?!
