Chapter 2150: Experiment

Another reason why Ajax hadn't bothered to rush Protos's cultivation like the other participants was his special title, [Elemental Spirit Master].

It had many effects on his Elemental Spirits, and one of them was increasing his Elemental Spirits' recovery speed by ten times for one hour when they completely exhausted their Essence of Nature.

Other than that, there was also an effect that increased the chances of his Elemental Spirits awakening special skills.

Although the probability was very small, it was still better than not having anything.

'With this effect, Protos will return to his peak condition much faster.'

With such a recovery speed, Ajax could reduce the drawbacks of rapidly increasing his Elemental Spirit's cultivation while ensuring that Protos still received sufficient training.

'Rest for an hour in the Divine Inner World before resuming your training.'

Ajax sent Protos into his Divine Inner World through his Divine Spirit Consciousness.

"Y-Yes, Summoning Master."

Protos was still gasping for breath when he entered the Divine Inner World.

Since Protos's recovery speed had increased tenfold, the environment of the Divine Inner World would further increase Protos' recovery rate.

'T-this… is this a Heavenly Realm?'

Looking at the scenery in the Divine Inner World and sensing the Divine Essence of Nature, Protos was shocked.

According to his innate memories, when an Elemental Spirit was recalled into its Summoner's body, it would enter a special space called Spirit Consciousness, which was dark but filled with pure Essence of Nature.

However, the space his master had sent him to was very beautiful and heavenly, making him think of the Heavenly Realm that every Elemental Spirit wishes to ascend to.

'It is not a Heavenly Realm but a Divine World.'

Ajax's voice resounded in the Divine Inner World. 'Here, not only your recovery speed but even your cultivation speed will be very fast.'

'However, you should not break through at any cost.'

Ajax strictly ordered Protos.

'Yes, Summoning Master.'

Protos suppressed his excitement regarding the Divine Inner World and started recovering his depleted Essence of Nature.

Currently, his Divine Inner World only had the Spirit Plants and Trees. All the contracted Spirit Beasts that used to cultivate inside the Divine Inner World were absent.

'Should I not have released them all to have their own adventures in the Dark Region?'

Ajax shook his head but still didn't regret the decision he had made back then.

He knew that always keeping the contracted Spirit Beasts in the Divine Inner World would make them lazy, and it would even affect their battle prowess and ability to strategise in different situations.

So, he paired them up to explore the Dark Region and have their own adventures.

Of course, the condition he had created was for everyone to meet every three months.

'It is almost time for the quarterly meeting with my Contracted Spirit Beasts.'

Thinking about it, Ajax missed them and sighed.

The meeting was for his Contracted Spirit Beasts to recount their adventures and the gains they had made.

Other than that, it was also to make sure they didn't become completely obsessed with adventuring.

'I hope this mastermind has a solution to open a portal to my universe.'

Ajax silently hoped for this.

Initially, Ajax wanted to return to his universe as soon as possible; however, after learning how strong this universe was and about the special methods for unlocking the sealed Divine Elemental Spirits, he was hoping to learn everything before returning to his universe.

'Forget it. I will make the decision when I get the chance.'

Ajax quickly shook his head as he felt there was no use in overthinking; instead, he turned his attention to the Flaming Monkey.

'Should I try something I've been curious about?'

Since he had nothing else to do while Protos recovered his depleted Essence of Nature, Ajax's eyes lit up as he looked at the Flaming Monkey he had subdued for the training.

'Let's see what happens when I inject the Divine Essence of Nature into an Elemental Beast.'

Elemental Beasts are creatures born in the Elemental Source Land, where the purest Essence of Nature condenses and accumulates for centuries.

These Elemental Beasts, unlike the Elemental Spirits, which have consciousness, have only bestial instincts that drive them to kill everyone, especially the Summoners.

As for Divine Essence of Nature, it is a higher-grade energy with many uses that even the system doesn't know all of. It can even create miracles.

So, whenever he got the chance, Ajax tried using the Divine Essence of Nature to figure out its uses.

Since the Flaming Monkey was made up of Fire Essence of Nature, Ajax thought that using the Fiery Divine Essence of Nature would definitely cause some changes.

Thus, he decided to experiment on it.

'Swiish!'

Ajax placed his hand on the Flaming Monkey's body and slowly injected Divine Essence of Nature into it.

Perhaps because of Ajax's touch, the Flaming Monkey woke up, and after seeing Ajax, it became restless and struggled to escape.

But how could it escape from Ajax? He quickly caught it and started working on his experiment.

However, as soon as Ajax began injecting the Divine Essence of Nature, its body gradually relaxed.

The flames covering its body became calmer, and its previously restless eyes revealed a peaceful expression.

It even closed its eyes as though it were enjoying the process.

'Huh?'

Ajax was slightly surprised by the Flaming Monkey's reaction.

He had expected some resistance from the Elemental Beast, but it seemed unusually receptive to the Divine Essence of Nature.

Therefore, Ajax increased the number of units he injected into its body.

One hundred units.

Two hundred units.

Five hundred units.

As the Divine Essence of Nature entered the Flaming Monkey's body, its transformation became increasingly noticeable.

The faint flames covering its body grew brighter, and its fiery red hair gradually turned a brilliant golden-red colour.

Its crystalline body began to glow from within as though a miniature sun had ignited inside it.

At the same time, the elemental energy surrounding the Flaming Monkey became purer and more powerful.

The Flaming Monkey's injuries slowly healed, and its body began undergoing an astonishing transformation.

Ajax's eyes widened slightly.

'This is interesting.'

He continued injecting the Divine Essence of Nature, curious to see what would happen next.

Nine hundred units.

Nine hundred and fifty units.

Nine hundred and ninety units.

Finally, when Ajax injected the thousandth unit of Divine Essence of Nature, the Flaming Monkey's transformation reached its climax.

ROOOAAAR!

A powerful roar erupted from its mouth.

Golden-red flames surged into the sky, and a terrifying wave of elemental energy spread in every direction.

The Flaming Monkey's body shone brilliantly before its appearance began to change.

Its fiery hair became even more radiant, and divine patterns appeared across its crystalline body.

A powerful aura that was completely different from its previous one enveloped it.

At the same time, familiar system notifications resounded in Ajax's mind.

[Congratulations to the host for successfully evolving an Elemental Beast into a Quasi-Divine Elemental Beast!]

[Congratulations to the host for finding another usage of the Divine Essence of Nature]

'What?!'

Looking at the system notifications, Ajax froze for a moment before his eyes shone with excitement.
