Chapter 3047: 3047. Genesis Growing too

"You want to?" Alice asked Scylla as she appeared out of nowhere with ridiculous questions.

"I said battle training. I want to have two forces of guards made up of Genesis forces and demi-human forces oppose one another to fight. have a really all out battle and then get healed by you and your people. They can see why they need to adapt and start training differently."

"I understand the reasoning, but you can not have them get hurt just as a demonstration!" Alice was angry now. She had been interrupted by the sudden arrival of Scylla who she had believed was too busy to venture back to the demi-human territory right now.

"You also know you have the collisions to demonstrate battle and skills!" Alice’s rant did not end as she looked at Scylla in the eyes. She was even more angry that Scylla was standing there like she hadn’t just said that sixty people could be hurting and injuring themselves and others in a fake war just to prove a point.

"You need to value everyone and let them make their choices. You can not force them to change their training-"

"Alice, I am not forcing them to change. I am stopping them from believing that they are correct and no one else can make a better plan for training and warrior growth. I have encountered a wall and as many of my people are stubborn, they need to feel it and see it." Scylla had a serious expression. The casual smirk that came when she suddenly appeared in front of Alice was gone now.

"King Rorick has his right to question everything. He has accepted much of what I do with Genesis and given me the freedom to fully represent all demi-humans there. He has visited and seen the benefits. But that is all it is. He has done that. Not the others working under the generals and not every single general."

"We need the people to see the values within Genesis as well so that they will not fall apart when facing the threats and benefits associated with how Genesis is growing and changing. Demi-humans are being left behind everywhere but in farming."

"They are not learning to craft better weapons, just buying them. They are not accepting potions as much, just tolerating them. They are not learning new healing skills and magics all over, just when they face people like you. They are not changing training programs, just letting a small few learn from Genesis then using them once they are back."

"They are not fully accepting the future and that is why the demi-humans have the fewest additions to those exploring the wilderness, the elemental planes, and trying to overcome the limits that Genesis already proved can be broken."

"Our population is the highest of any race and we are behind, Alice, I want you to assist me in making sure that the forces led by a commander stuck in his ways are beaten soundly without injuries that follow them through life. I will have this battle regardless, but you and your healers can take lessons from it while also keeping everyone safer as a result."

Knowing that this would occur no matter what did not make Alice feel any less bad about it happening.

But, it did show her that Scylla was using this show of skill and battle that carried greater risk to each individual for a reason. That she had taken the time to gauge the risks and was ready to execute what she believed the demi-human people needed to progress.

The thing was, everyone knew that each race had their own struggles.

Some were stubborn like the elder elves who were hard to convince. But that had been managed by those like Alma and Gil or the younger elves who pushed for change and unity. The demons, vampires, monster races, and echidna had changed because they had no other foundation but to build a new foundation with Genesis as the core.

But the humans still had their political battles, but had begun the change from noble intervention toward acceptance of all races and pushed to incorporate more and more. The dragons were learning and changing because they had seen things that their race had missed. That the very heart of their race now began to covet despite their innate pride as a race.

For the demi-humans, it was the constant traditional habits that they had.

They needed their own strength, not another’s strength. They needed to train in ways they knew worked, not change their training to match new this and new that. They had to stick with what they knew worked because that was what kept their people alive.

So, Scylla needed to show them accepting more and taking ownership of the changes was good. Was possible. Was exactly what they needed to strengthen their value more.

"I understand, but I am not happy with you."

"I know, but I would be much more comfortable knowing you were there to keep the stubborn ones safer. They will need the healing. Not the commander and squads from Genesis who trained there for months. They even gathered some new members who took the lead in certain positions." Scylla smirked again.

She knew very well that the older tactics and training held nothing to the new ways that had been improved and edited over and over every single day since Genesis United.

She knew she would win.

Meanwhile, Genesis was also reacting to quite the event.

"The magic tower is currently closed! All people should avoid the area while the tower is secured!" Guards flooded the street and removed many.

Rune carvers, scroll makers, and other magic related class users and stall owners were pushed away from the central magic tower. They were not happy, but they had all stopped working anyway.

The commotion from the magic tower was loud and seen well enough through all of Genesis.

No violent magical surges. No flashes of mana that caused damage. Instead, it was a rapid and large condensation of magic that made it seem the magic tower was preparing to cast a massive spell. Or maybe it was growing?

No one had a solid answer and as multiple of Walker’s golem bodies arrived, the commotion even grew more.

"Thank you for pushing away those who may be in danger. This area will need to be cleaned and freed from temporary market stalls." One of Walker’s golem bodies sent the guard captain who came to meet him in to panic internally.

"Sir hero, what is the problem here? Do we need to evacuate the city? Do we need to prepare magical barriers?" his mind was on the safety of everyone.

"You are doing your job as you should be. But I think you have the wrong idea. You should be preparing for a larger celebration." Now the guard captain thought he had lost his mind and was losing his hearing or something.

"Sir?"

"The magic tower had eighteen potential pupils that reached the top and were meditating to become the arch tower mage. A class that could become bonded with the magic tower and manage to utilize the manas and full knowledge of the tower. I was not that person because I am too diverse."

"Several of those potential students took other paths or halted their own growth to understand themselves better. Only four really kept pushing and today three found their innate or natural paths. One succeeded and I have to tell you, I am very surprised since I did not expect it to be someone so young and someone I have not met myself. I even believe that they might have been perfect as a blank slate with their age and the fact that their history has been tougher to survive."

Now the guard captain and multiple nearby members of the crowd were silent. Their worries and fear had broken down in to curiosity fueled by mystery.

The mana exploded out as a notification and rain of snow like mana particles fell over Genesis, bringing warmth and lightness to everyone.

’The spell, magical celebration, has been cast by the magic tower in honor of the new master of the magic tower being presented with the authority to manage the libraries of the magic tower.’

’Congratulations to Ebsaru, member of the stone goblin race. May he live a long life as the master of the magic tower and the first ever goblin arch mage of the magic tower.’

Everyone throughout the world saw this. Not just Genesis. Walker smirked even in the elemental planes as he had still been able to witness it. He was also explaining the sight of what he was seeing and using some light magic to recreate it for the others.

Now they all wanted to head home and see this lucky new arch mage of the magic tower.

This little goblin had beaten out even the young man that Walker himself believed might take this title and class. He was impressed.
