Chapter 752: Holy Land Demon Lord
Liora launching an attack—this was the scene the Ancient Devils witnessed the instant they stepped into the River of Time.
She stood in front of the Fallen Ancestor’s Throne, her aura surging as though accumulating momentum.
Everyone was surprised by her decision.
The Throne of an Ancient Devil was nearly indestructible.
Unless one managed to obliterate all their imprints from the timeline and then shatter the very concept they represented, there was no way to truly harm them through the Throne.
At most, a powerful opponent could leave traces on the Throne, delaying its owner’s eventual resurrection.
Yet from the determination displayed by Liora, it seemed that her goal was not merely to delay the Fallen Ancestor’s resurrection.
Indeed, the Ancient Devils’ suspicions were soon proven correct.
As the crimson phantom behind Liora twisted, a prideful expression emerged on its mask, as though it looked down on everyone and everything.
The Pride Avatar briefly overlapped with Liora’s form and mirrored her movements.
Its fist clenched and struck the Throne.
A moment later, a cracking noise rang out.
Then—
An explosion.
The Throne of the Fallen Ancestor, which had stood intact for millions of years, had actually exploded!
Although the affected area was only a small part of it, barely one hundredth of a percent, the fact that the Throne failed to recover from the damage had already said everything.
Liora had a way to kill the Fallen Ancestor, plunging her consciousness into eternal slumber and making resurrection impossible!
That alone was shocking!
Especially when one considered that Liora was capable of extinguishing her opponent’s hopes with just one hundred attacks.
All the surrounding Ancient Devils trembled.
Were one hundred attacks many?
Of course not!
For beings of their level, they could perform millions of strikes in a matter of seconds.
One hundred attacks meant Liora could practically kill an Other Shore Devil in an instant.
The Ancient Devils present took a deep breath.
The Fallen Ancestor was one of the strongest among them.
Since Liora had a way to kill her, she was capable of killing them as well.
More importantly, most people were unable to see how she had done it. The unknown was the most terrifying thing in most cases.
Only the most powerful Ancient Devils had some guesses regarding how she had done this.
As their consciousness swept along the River of Time and jumped into the past, they sensed something.
A terrifying curse was seeping through the illusory waters, obliterating all of the Fallen Ancestor’s traces.
With each passing second, more of her imprints would burst apart.
Pride Avatar!
Although weaker than the Wrath Avatar in terms of frontal combat prowess, its curse could threaten even the most powerful Ancient Devils.
It was simply the best ability if one wished to obliterate timeline imprints!
Liora sensed the astonished gazes coming from the void and noticed the apprehension of the Ancient Devils.
However, she did not stop her movements.
Without any hesitation, she punched the Throne once more, chipping away another one hundredth percent of it.
Then, she attacked again.
Two percent. Five percent. Ten percent.
In mere moments, more than fifty percent of the Throne had been torn apart.
Just as everyone believed that the Fallen Ancestor’s fate was sealed and she would die, a soft sigh echoed through the River of Time.
“Alright. That’s enough.”
“There is no reason to take things this far…” A murmur rang out.
When the crowd turned toward its source, they discovered that a woman had unknowingly emerged from one of the surrounding Thrones.
Her facial features closely resembled those of the Fallen Ancestor.
It was just that, unlike her, the newcomer had long blonde hair and blue eyes.
At the same time, her aura was not one of corruption and evil, but of order and majesty.
Another Fallen Angel—everyone realized!
Moreover, this person was far stronger than the Fallen Ancestor.
Her aura had surpassed the Antiquity stage and reached the Primordial stage!
In the Demon World, the woman could enjoy the title of “Demon Lord,” a title exclusive to powerhouses surpassing the Antiquity stage.
“It’s the Holy Land Demon Lord!”
One of the Devils seemed to recognize her identity.
“The Holy Land Demon Lord reached the Primordial stage billions of years ago.”
“Since then, she has participated in countless battles and has killed dozens of Primordial Devils.”
“Her strength is outstanding even among Demon Lords!” they quickly added, their words stunning the Devils who failed to recognize her.
Since the onlookers had noticed the woman, Liora had discovered the Holy Land Demon Lord’s appearance as well.
If anything, she had noticed her even earlier than them.
Not only because of the gap between their respective strengths, but also because of the power that had engulfed her.
The moment the woman rose from her Throne, she directly took action to stop Liora’s movements.
Combined with her words, her purpose was clear.
Liora’s eyes flickered, though she hid her emotions well.
On the surface, she appeared solemn.
“Your Excellency, do you wish to intervene in our battle?” she said with a frown, sizing up her opponent with faint interest.
She wasn’t pretending.
The woman before her was completely different from the Fallen Ancestor she had just suppressed, both in appearance and temperament.
Rather than the Fallen Ancestor, Liora felt she was more like a blasphemous man she had met while at the Young Devil stage.
The blonde woman did not know Liora’s thoughts, nor that she was comparing her with another person.
Hearing her question, she maintained an indifferent expression, her eyes fixed on Liora.
“The Fallen Ancestor cannot die at this point in time. Please cease your killing intent,” she said coldly.
Her words seemed polite.
Yet both her tone and attitude showed that she had no intention of negotiating with Liora.
She wasn’t asking Liora to spare the Fallen Ancestor’s life, nor was she ready to pay a price to entice her.
Rather, she was demanding that Liora release her.
As if she sensed the displeasure in Liora’s eyes, the Holy Land Demon Lord quickly added.
“I can sense that you’re quite young. You must not have been an Ancient Devil for long.”
“It’s no wonder. You don’t understand that there are gaps between Ancient Devils.”
“Suppressing the Fallen Ancestor is nothing. Just as you can easily kill her, I can kill you as well.”
As she spoke, the Holy Land Demon Lord took action to demonstrate that point.
She didn’t even move.
The light around her warped, condensing into a giant spear that thrust toward Liora.
Its golden surface was covered with runes representing majesty and order.
The two concepts fused perfectly together, bringing the spear’s power to the next level.
