Neighbors should always help each other when in need.

…Unfortunately, these were just Liora’s naive thoughts.

As her hand approached the Demon Layer and was about to tear it apart, the countless beings residing in the floating continent were alarmed.

Most of them were powerless.

They could only watch as a powerful devouring force descended from the ground, threatening to drag their souls out of their bodies and devour them.

Of course, that was not the case for everyone.

The Demon Layers were ranked according to their strength, while the most important factor in determining a Demon Layer’s strength was the power of its Ruler.

The Hollow Ancestor, occupying the 173rd Demon Layer, was an Other Shore Ancient Devil on the surface.

The Rulers of the Demon Layers around him were no weaker than he was.

“Who?!” A powerful roar echoed throughout the surrounding layers.

A slumbering being residing in the depths of the 174th Demon Layer suddenly awakened, opening its eyes after thousands of years.

Sensing the pulling force on the Demon Layer and seeing the hand trying to destroy it, the awakened Ancient Devil instantly sprang into action.

Bang!

The core of the Demon Layer shattered.

An enormous figure emerged from its depths, their frame towering above the continent.

The Ancient Devil was a woman.

With dark hair and eyes, she had a pair of black wings behind her back and possessed an otherworldly beauty that was difficult to describe.

The moment she made her appearance, the entire Demon Layer was plunged into darkness.

Both literally and metaphorically.

The female Ancient Devil seemed capable of plunging the souls of everyone around her into darkness.

Her eyes transformed into two black holes as she lowered her gaze and stared at the approaching hand.

Seeing that it did not stop despite her awakening, a trace of fury flashed across her beautiful face.

“How dare you?!” she spoke in a deep voice.

The wings behind her stretched, covering half of the sky, bending before firing millions of feathers toward her opponent.

The Devils in the Demon Layer cheered upon seeing the woman’s emergence and her counterattack.

Just seconds ago, they believed they were going to die.

Fortunately, with the Fallen Ancestor’s appearance, the opponent would surely be driven back!

The enemy stood no chance!

Taking this opportunity, every Devil stared at the feathers with a focused expression, trying to peer into the secrets of the concept of Fallen and strengthen themselves.

Unfortunately, the scene that followed quickly interfered with their plans.

Faced with the attack of the black feathers, the approaching hand showed no signs of stopping.

A crimson sheen appeared around its slender fingers, and it continued forward unabated, as though its owner had not even noticed the Fallen Ancestor.

The two Ancient Devil powers collided in the air only moments later.

A bright light enveloped everyone’s vision, divided into two unique colors.

One was black, representing the authority of Fallen and Corruption.

The other was crimson, the materialization of everything sinful and evil.

The movements here soon attracted the attention of the neighboring Demon Layers.

Sensing the fight between the two Demon Layers, they extended their consciousness, wanting to see what was happening.

However, their reactions came half a step too late.

The moment the Ancient Devils’ consciousnesses landed on the battlefield, waiting to observe the ongoing battle, they only managed to see its aftermath.

The Fallen Ancestor, whose strength faintly surpassed the Other Shore stage, had actually been defeated!

Crimson lights flickered within her dark eyes as her expression alternated, twisting through several different emotions.

“Has the Fallen Ancestor been defeated so quickly?”

“Could it be that a Demon Lord has attacked?”

The observing Ancient Devils were shocked.

They quickly stirred their consciousness, communicating with each other as they tried to piece together the clues.

All of them were Rulers.

Due to their close proximity to the 174th Demon Layer, they knew the Fallen Ancestor’s information very well.

As such, they understood that she belonged to one of the ruling races within the Demon World, a race that had given birth to several Prince of the Demon World-level creatures.

She was a Fallen Angel!

With such a powerful bloodline, and given her own accomplishments, even Antiquity Devils would struggle to defeat her so easily.

Perhaps only a Demon Lord could!

But why would a Demon Lord be interested in the Fallen Ancestor?

More importantly, weren’t they afraid of offending her lineage?

Whether it was the observing Ancient Devils or even the Fallen Ancestor herself, everyone was puzzled.

In the void between the layers, Liora sensed the many consciousnesses sweeping across the surrounding area, trying to search for the culprit behind her earlier attack.

She had no intention of hiding her identity.

Seeing her attack being blocked, she performed a Dimensional Leap, landing directly on the 174th Demon Layer and appearing in front of the Fallen Ancestor.

She did not alter her frame, maintaining her human-like appearance.

Compared to the Fallen Angel’s enormous figure, which pierced through the sky and nearly reached the Demon Layer above her, Liora looked like a tiny ant.

Yet no one dared to underestimate her.

Since she had appeared at this point, it meant that she was likely the person responsible for the earlier attack.

However, there was something that puzzled them.

“Not a Demon Lord?”

“An Antiquity Devil?”

Several hushed whispers echoed through the surroundings.

With their vision, the Ancient Devils could tell that Liora was not a Demon Lord as they originally expected, but was merely at the Antiquity Stage.

That was indeed stronger than them. But with the Fallen Ancestor’s strength, she should have been able to contend against her.

What these people could see, the Fallen Ancestor could see as well.

Even so, the Fallen Ancestor recognized Liora as the culprit behind the previous attack.

The aura of sin was unmistakable!

Moreover, judging from her abrupt appearance, it was obvious that Liora’s attack was not a random action.

She was targeting her!

Realizing this, the Fallen Ancestor’s eyes gleamed.

She did not choose to strike, but instead questioned loudly.

“Why is Your Excellency attacking me? I believe that we have no grievances with each other!”

“Could it be that you’re trying to target my Fallen Angel race?” Her voice reverberated.
