Chapter 1326 -543: Goodbye, Charles! Reincarnation of the Netherworld God!

It was an indescribable feeling. Even though he had already experienced his soul leaving his body once before, undergoing the sensation again still felt beyond words. This was especially true because the last time had been passive, whereas this time, he was actively initiating the out-of-body experience.

Most importantly, this time, his soul was enveloped within the pale gray flames of the Celestial Tomb Mark. Everything before his eyes, including his own physical body, vanished without a trace. Unlike his previous experience in the World Tree Secret Realm, his soul, accompanied by the Celestial Tomb Mark and carrying the small black sword, gradually turned transparent and faded away.

The vanished Soul Black Sword seemed to traverse through layers of thick fog. To the Soul Black Sword, the Secret Realm of this foggy world practically did not exist. As a result, Su Ping could see everything with utmost clarity using his Spiritual Power. Yet, it was precisely this clarity that made him feel incredibly fortunate in this moment. He realized that the Soul Black Sword was shuttling not only through the obstacles of the physical world but also through the crystal walls of spatial fluctuations.

A spatial ripple emerged from behind the endless gray fog. This small Soul Black Sword acted like a spaceship, carrying Su Ping through a wormhole into another world. No, to be precise, it was another space. It was a remarkably austere, even somewhat cramped, dimension.

There was nothing in this space, save for a single throne.

It was a pitch-black throne forged of bone. Planted into the ground before it was a longsword, just as black. The weapon was entirely shrouded in a faint dark mist, allowing only its vague shape to be discerned; any specific details remained completely obscured no matter how hard one looked. Most importantly, simply by the sword standing there, an indescribable, icy murderous aura radiated from it with reckless abandon. It was so intense that Su Ping’s soul could not even bear to gaze at it for long.

At the same time, countless, densely packed Soul Black Swords seemed to converge from all directions.

Before Su Ping could take a closer look, the Soul Black Sword carrying his soul, along with the countless other Soul Swords, flew toward the black longsword like moths to a flame. Remaining under the protection of the Celestial Tomb Mark, Su Ping quickly followed along while using their Soul Contract to pull back Qian Yi’s Sword Soul, who also wanted to rush forward and investigate. This black sword was clearly the true mastermind he had been searching for all along—and a part of that legendary entity.

Right at that moment, a strange fluctuation slowly rolled toward them. The source of this disturbance was none other than the empty, pitch-black bone throne standing behind the longsword.

With a thought, Su Ping’s soul slowly emerged from the Celestial Tomb Mark, shifting back into his illusory human form. The only difference was that the pale gray flame of the Celestial Tomb Mark continued to burn rapidly between his brows. Meanwhile, he kept a firm grip on Qian Yi’s soul, his eyes fixed unwaveringly on the throne.

Finally, a figure slowly materialized from within the spatial distortions. The newcomer possessed the same illusory form, with an identical pale gray flame burning between his brows. Su Ping was incredibly familiar with that face.

Without a second thought, Su Ping wielded the Sword Soul that Qian Yi had manifested as and cleaved straight down at the figure’s head.

A familiar voice spoke slowly. The man seemed incapable of panic, regardless of the situation.

“What a thoroughly expected greeting gift. However, Su Ping, you arrived a little later than I estimated. It seems the layout of this Heavenly Tomb and this Soul Furnace caused you some trouble, didn’t they?”

Charles sat on the throne, smiling genially. Facing Su Ping’s downward slash, he simply reached out a hand and, remarkably, caught Qian Yi’s Sword Soul barehanded using only his soul body. He then cast a smiling glance at Qian Yi, nodding in approval before continuing.

“Is this that Paperman Pet Beast of yours? Such a pure Sword Soul… Su Ping, you truly have a fated connection with this place!”

Su Ping remained silent. He wrested the blade free and delivered another vicious slash. A golden light flickered across the Sword Soul; even in spirit form, Qian Yi possessed a considerable amount of combat power.

Charles, however, looked rather bored. He caught the blade once more and pushed it away before speaking.

“Enough, stop wasting your effort! Setting aside the fact that I only sent a soul mark over, so killing me would be useless…

“Besides, souls are absolute. The Realm of you and this Pet Beast of yours is merely at the Monarch Level. Even if I am just a soul mark, my strength is at the genuine Holy Spirit Peak.

“The gap in soul quality is immense. I only came here to talk to you about our future.”

“Our future?” Su Ping finally spoke, letting out a disdainful sneer. However, he ceased his attacks, waiting to hear what the guy in front of him had to say.

Charles sat comfortably on the bone chair, bearing the unyielding air of someone who had been its master all along.

“I know that many members from the Dragon Nation must have entered this place to act as your escorts, Su Ping. But after seeing the Soul Furnace, you should understand something. Here, those ordinary lower-class people are only fit to be firewood for the Soul Furnace!”

Su Ping remained silent for a moment before repeating the words thoughtfully. “Lower-class people? Then I wonder what kind of person Lord Charles considers himself to be?”

Charles smiled faintly. “Su Ping, you always like to fixate on such trivial details. But then again, the truth is often hidden in the details, isn’t it?”
